BUSINESS MANAGER
Requirements: school business official license and a BA in accounting.
The function of the business manager is to ensure that assets available to the school are properly safeguarded and are expended on activities that support the mission of the school as outlined in the school’s charter;
Oversee all aspects of the school’s business operations. Ensure compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations governing charter school financial management;
Develop, revise and enforce the school’s financial policies and procedures, ensuring proper internal control;

and maintain a general ledger of all financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices. Safeguard the school’s financial resources to ensure that resources sufficient to meet the school’s objectives are available.
Reports to: Head Learner/Principal
Supervises: Assistant to Business Manager

 

Duties:

  • Purchasing and Accounts Payable

  • Payroll and Payroll Liabilities

  • Activity/Fiduciary Accounts

  • Filing and Records Retrieval

  • Budget

  • Financial Reporting

  • Capital Assets

  • Financial Audit

  • Cash, Banking and Account Reconciliation

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Other Duties as Required

SCHOOL COUNSELOR

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work with minimum of 3 years applied experience in middle/high school setting. Current School Counselor or School Social Worker's license from the Public Education Department. Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Serve as advisory resource liaison to high school team and work with middle school. Provide academic and personal support counseling to all students 7-12. Coordinate with and assist other School Counselor to develop a comprehensive campus wellness program: organize and present classroom wellness curriculum incorporating community organization resources when appropriate; organize campus school-wide educational campaigns. Coordinate with other school counselor to administer the Naviance program and expose all students to career guidance, aptitude and interest inventories. Provide referral, coordination and consultation services to school and parents.
